By manufacturing marine steel structures, we contribute to local transportation and industry.

Bridges are infrastructure indispensable for regional interaction and logistics. Floating piers and movable bridges are also important facilities to support living in coastal area in Japan surrounded by the sea, as they are used to land fishery catches, one of important industries, and to embark/disembark ferries, means of maritime transportation.

Steel Structure Department manufactures and builds marine steel structures such as brides and floating piers based on advanced technologies in fabrication and welding developed in shipbuilding. We also carry out maintenance work such as repairs and reinforcements so that these facilities will last until future generations.
