Professor Hugh Patrick is a director of the center on Japanese Economy and Business of Columbia University and is a leading expert in academia about the research of Japanese economy and businesses.

On May 26, Professor Hugh Patrick went on a shipyard tour of Oshima Shipbuilding Co., and the professor attended a presentation given by shipyard’s directors, and a post-meeting party held in honor of the professor at the Olive Bay Hotel with it in mind that such a getting together might help him keep abreast of Oshima Shipbuilding Co.
