In order to protect safety and prevent crimes, four staff member of General Affairs Department in Oshima shipyard organized a team and kicked off the voluntary anti-crime patrol on August 5, 2010. The patrol team cruises through all over Oshima town in two blue patrol cars to get people involved in local anti-crime efforts.

Total six patrol teams driving 16 patrol cars (civil patrol cars) engage in the prevention of crimes with the addition of the new anti-crime patrol.
