Oshima shipyard celebrated the 41st founding anniversary on February 7, 2014. Oshima shipyard had the founding anniversary ceremony at one of the painting factories with the attendance of Saikai city Mayor Tanaka and City Assembly Vice-Chairman Sugisawa.

Firstly, CEO Minami delivered a speech saying, “We can survive in this place for 50 and 100 years as long as we continue to construct quality ships in health and safety. Let’s get up and go together with our community.” We have stepped out to go toward the 50th founding anniversary. Following the addresses by President Minami and Labor Union’s chairman, Mr. Nakatsuno, the Saikai city mayor delivered a congratulatory address at the ceremony.

And then, in the 2013 award ceremony held following the ceremony, the president and shipyard manager honored and commended shipyard division workers with proven track record and successful thesis writers in the in-house thesis contestants.

After that, Inaoka, chairman of the assistant manager association read out a pledge. The founding ceremony was finalized by calling out “Daizo Great Leap Forward,” to boost our morale.
