A bulk carrier 61,000-dwt constructed by Oshima shipyard was awarded the ship of the Year for “The Lloyd’s List・Middle Eat & Indian subcontinent Award 2010” under sponsorship of a maritime industry newspaper, Lloyd’s List, The name of the ship awarded was “Dubai Sun,” which was delivered to Emarat Maritime, a shipowner in Dubai. The vessel was constructed based on new design, “OS-MAX60” developed by Oshima shipyard. The reason for the award was that its loading capacity is the greatest amount of loading in the world and acquired environment notation from NK for the first time in the world.
